Invitation

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the EUROBIC10 - 10th European Biological Inorganic Chemistry Conference.  The Conference will be held at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece, in the period June 22-June 26, 2010.

The Brief and Successful History of EUROBIC

The EUROBIC Conference emerged from the merger of two distinct and separate scientific events: The Swiss-Italian SIMBIC Conference and the French-German SAMBAS Conference. It was the product of a well thought out decision by European Chemists and Biologists to raise awareness and provide due publicity to the fledgling multidisciplinary research field of Biological Inorganic Chemistry worldwide.  As a result of this common idea, EUROBIC was born and was implemented through the organization of the first Conference in Newcastle in 1992.  Since its inception, EUROBIC has been a successful event attracting scientists from both Biology and Chemistry, working concertedly to bring to light new discoveries in the interface of the two Sciences.  Undoubtedly, EUROBIC has evolved into a well-founded scientific Institution in the world scientific scene, providing opportunities to young and established researchers and a podium to present their work and new ideas into the future.  As of its first implementation as a Conference, EUROBIC has provided opportunities for international scientific collaborations, while it forged the creation of significant intra-European networks becoming active in multidisciplinary research in Biological Inorganic Chemistry, in line with EU Research directives and the Research Calls under the various Framework Programs.

The EUROBIC Conference in the present form is therefore the evolution product and a continuation of the meetings held over the years.  These are summarized in the Table given below:
